The Spectrum Health Head and Neck Cancer Multispecialty Clinic is the first of its kind in West Michigan. We offer highly specialized multidisciplinary care for adult patients diagnosed with primary and metastatic cancers of the head and neck. Our team of cancer experts works together to provide advanced treatment options and coordinated care where you need it—close to home.

Treating head and neck cancer can be a very complex process. At Spectrum Health, our main goal is to ensure your survival while maintaining the highest quality of life. Our team also understands that appearance and maintaining functions such as speech, swallowing, taste and hearing are equally important.

Our head and neck cancer multispecialty team focus exclusively on the treatment of head and neck cancer. The team meets weekly to develop a personalized care plan for each individual patient, taking into account the full range of treatment options, as well as integrative and supportive care services.

Patients treated for head and neck cancer may be offered an opportunity to take part in a clinical trial during their treatment. A clinical trial nurse will work with you to help you to determine if it is an option that is right for you.

Our integrative therapies and support services offer a holistic approach to your health and wellness. We focus on treating the whole you—mind, body and spirit—with strategies for symptom and pain control, including yoga, acupuncture, massage, music, art and pet therapies, as well as supportive care services such as our comprehensive lymphedema and survivorship programs.

Spectrum Health is dedicated to helping you function at the highest level possible. Our cancer rehabilitation program is led by a multispecialty team of rehabilitation professionals who are specially trained in oncology. The team consists of physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech language pathologists.
