Pediatric Emergency Assessment Recognition and Stabilization Classes

Overview

This American Heart Association (AHA) course supports health care providers who:

  • Do not provide advanced pediatric life support regularly

Using video-based simulation, the PEARS course helps participants recognize the signs and symptoms of a child who is in cardiopulmonary distress and needs immediate support. The main focus of PEARS is prevention, specifically the assessment, recognition and stabilization of pediatric patients at risk of severe cardiopulmonary distress.
