Meals: Where to Eat at the Hospital

Wholesome, nourishing and balanced meals are an important part of your child's treatment and recovery. A nutrition assistant will visit your child each day to help with meal selections.

Daily Patient Meal Schedule
Breakfast 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Lunch 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Dinner 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Dietary Questions and Special Requests
If you have questions about patient meals, selections or a special food request, ask to speak with a nutrition assistant or dial 1-3042 from your in-room phone.

Guest Meal Trays
If you or a guest would like to eat with your child in his or her room, guest meal trays can be purchased by calling 1-2553 from your in-room phone. You may pay by credit card when you place the order or visit Prisms in Butterworth Hospital to pay with cash. Guest meal trays will be delivered to your child's room during scheduled meal times.

Helen DeVos Children's Hospital - Floor 1
Balk Cafe
Guests can enjoy gourmet pizzas, salads and an ice cream window. Pizza delivery to your child's room is also available. Call 7-0399 from your in-room phone to pay by credit card.
Hours: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday

Coffee Kiosk
A morning must for many, it is easy to spot the first floor coffee kiosk. Grab a beverage or baked goods and be on
your way.
Hours: 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday to Friday

Additional Dining Options
Vending machines and coffee stations throughout the hospital offer a convenient selection of snacks and beverages. Take-out is available at any Spectrum Health dining location.

Butterworth Hospital
Prisms
Location: First floor, just south of the main lobby
Breakfast: 6 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
Continental Breakfast: 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Lunch: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Light Snack: 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Dinner: 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Light Snack: 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Late Dinner: 12:45 a.m. to 3:10 a.m., daily

The Fireside Grille
Location: First floor, just west of the main lobby
Breakfast: 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Lunch and snacks: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Takeout available until 4 p.m., Monday to Friday

Fireside Express
Location: First floor between the North and South buildings, serving espresso, cappuccino, bagels and pastries
Hours: 6:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m., Monday to Friday

The Waterfall Cafe
Location: Third floor
Hours: 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday

Fred and Lena Meijer Heart Center
Mehney Terrace Bistro
Location: Main floor of the Meijer Heart Center-
between the Butterworth Hospital lobby and the Meijer Heart Center lobby
Hours: 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday
