Even if your child is a Medicare participant, it may not be billed as the primary insurance if:
- An employee group plan of a parent may cover the child
- Your child was in an automobile accident
- Your child was injured and some other party may be liable for the injury
In any of these situations, Medicare may be billed for any balance that these other carriers do not pay.
Medicare Supplemental Insurance
If you have a supplemental insurance carrier for Medicare, they may be billed for charges not paid by Medicare. If a charge that is not covered by Medicare is also not covered by Medicare Supplemental Insurance, it will be your responsibility and you can call us to discuss payment options.
