Driving Directions
- Coming from the north or south take US-131 toward Grand Rapids to I-196 east. Coming from the east or west take I-196 toward Grand Rapids.
- Exit on College Avenue (Exit 78) and turn south.
- Turn right on Michigan Street (first traffic light).

The hospital will be on your left, past the corner of Michigan Street and Barclay Avenue. Parking Ramp 3 will be on your right.
Hospital Parking
Emergency Parking
If you are coming to the hospital because of an emergency, free valet parking is available at the children's emergency department entrance at the corner of Bostwick Avenue and Michigan Street.
Family and Visitor Parking
Family members and visitors may either use valet parking (for a fee) or should park in Ramp 3.
Ramp 3
The entrance to Ramp 3 is on the north side of Michigan Street (near the corner of Bostwick Avenue and Michigan Street). Follow the signs to Level P-5 or P-6 and park in one of the Spectrum Health designated parking spots. After you park, take the elevator to Level 3. You will cross Michigan Street on the pedestrian bridge to enter the main lobby of Helen DeVos Children's Hospital. Bring your parking ticket with you to the information/welcome area on Floor 1 where your ticket will be validated for free parking. If you forget to bring your ticket with you, please inform the welcome desk team.
Valet Parking
Patient drop-off and valet parking services are available at the circular drive main entrance on Michigan Street for a nominal fee.
Valet hours:
Monday to Friday, 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Saturday, Sunday and holidays, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
